Bute Consultancy is led by Andy Wynd MBE MIoD who has dedicated his lifetimes work to supporting children, young people and families face the challenges in the modern age.
His networking over the past 30 years has enabled him to bring the right people together, at the right time, to enable significant innovation and development in the health and social care arena. Care, commitment and compassion has been evident throughout his career and is at the heart of Bute Consultancy.
Andy's interest and experience in digital to support health and social care is well recognised in the sector. He was honoured in 2014 by the late Queen Elizabeth II for his services to Healthcare in Scotland, recognising his commitment to work in real partnership with colleagues in NHS Scotland to deliver safe person centred care and advise on national standards from an independent perspective.
He has a long and distinguished career in Health and Social Care, having lead one of Scotland's national third sector disability organisations for over 30 years. He has chaired a number of Scottish Government and national committees across neurosciences and early years and has served on a wide range of committees focussing on quality improvement, innovation and research and the use of technology to drive improvement in health and social care.
His unique and distinctive contribution to this area is his vision of transforming digital into caring digital. A new concept of utilising the huge developments in technology to focus on outcomes rather than numbers, on compassion and caring rather than on the traditional number crunching and binary outputs of the technology of the past.
He is also a qualified and registered social worker who developed a specialist interest and specialism in child and adult protection over the years, delivering child protection training for a number of third sector organisations including major funders supporting organisations throughout Scotland working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. He is also an accredited CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) trainer.
Andy Wynd is regulated through the Scottish Social Services Council and registered with the British Association of Social workers as an independent social work practitioner
